With 5,900 kg maximum towing capacity and 1,020 kg payload driven by the 6.4L HEMI® V8, you get the full strength of the RAM 2500 platform — without paying for luxury trim you don’t need on the job site. Starting from R 1,750,000, the Tradesman puts serious American heavy-duty capability within reach of more buyers than ever before.
The Tradesman wears its purpose honestly. A bold black RAM grille, steel wheels with chrome centre caps, wide-stance bodywork and a clean unadorned profile in Bright White Clearcoat. No unnecessary chrome, no luxury trim — just a proper heavy-duty work truck with a commanding presence. The Tradesman looks exactly like what it is: all capability, nothing wasted.
The Tradesman cabin is built for real work. A durable cloth 40/20/40 front bench seat, a practical dash layout, and Uconnect® 5 with an 12 inch touchscreen put everything you need within easy reach. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Level 2 Equipment Group adds convenience features that make long work days easier. No frills — just a properly equipped, right-hand-drive converted work truck ready for the job.
The 2026 RAM 2500 Tradesman comes equipped with ParkSense® rear park assist, class-exclusive coil-link rear suspension for superior ride quality over rough terrain, and telescoping trailer tow mirrors. Standard stability control, advanced traction management, and trailer sway control give you full confidence when towing at maximum capacity. Built to the same safety standard as every RAM Heavy Duty — no compromises at the entry level.
The 6.4L HEMI® V8 delivers 302 kW (405 hp) and 581 Nm of torque through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity: 5,900 kg. Maximum payload: 1,787 kg. This is the proven HEMI architecture that has powered RAM trucks for generations — refined, dependable, and unstoppable. Converted to right-hand drive by US Trucks specifically for the South African market and built to handle local roads and conditions.
ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist uses sensors located on the front and rear fascias. These integrated sensors send out ultrasonic waves when the truck is backing up or moving forward at low speeds, for example during a parking maneuver. They determine relative distance between the truck and a detected obstacle and provide readouts located in the Digital Cluster Display which notify you of the object’s proximity.
